In 1976, Carl Johan De Geer, DN’s then fashion reporter Rebecka Tarschys, Gunila Axén and Marie-Louise Ekman travelled to Paris and the most prominent fashion houses. Their assignment was to give an account of a phenomena they believed was in the process of dying out: the exclusive, upper-class haute couture. Burns will show selections of a unique photographic portrayal of fashion in which the photographer later observes: We were wrong! While the “ We Were Wrong!” photographs are being shown at Berns, Färgfabriken will present the first, extensive retrospective of Carl Johan De Geer’s work in the exhibition, Ledtrådar / Clues, which will be presented 12 April – 17 August 2014. The exhibit will present many different forms of expression such as textiles, graphics, music, painting, riding, photography, scenography and film. Co-arranger: Galleri Stefan Larsson
