Bonniers Konsthall and Taverna Brillo start off Stockholm Art Week and are offering an evening filled with art, music and cocktails. During the evening, the human sculpture, Att åldras / To Age, by Brazilian artist Laura Lima will be shown. The work is a brief preview of the artist’s major, separate exhibition at Bonniers Konsthall in the autumn of 2014. In Laura Lima’s work, the body is the central medium and the propelling force. She creates human sculptures in which bodies are placed in relation to each other and in relation to other artistic expressions such as drawings and sculpture. Laura Lima was born in 1971 in Governador Valadares, Brazil. She lives and works in Rio de Janeiro. The exhibition at Bonniers Konsthall is the first large-scale presentation of her work in the Nordic region.
